Rates 2025

18/12/2024
Public transport fares are indexed annually. This is done on the basis of the National Fares Index. This takes into account costs such as wages, fuel and inflation. The fare increase for 2025 has been set at 3.34%.

In addition, there are a number of adjustments:
• Kids aged 4 to 11 travel for free (extended for the whole of 2025)
• Entry rate night network from €4 to €8
• Higher fines for fare evasion

Children aged 4 to 11 will also travel for free in 2025
Children aged 4 to 11 will also travel for free with an adult throughout 2025. Per adult, 3 children aged 4 to 11 may travel for free. Children up to 3 years old have always travel for free on public transport. This is valid on all our buses (including SyntusFlex and local buses) and U-OV buses and trams. It is not valid on the night network. Children travelling with you can simply board and do not need a ticket.

Boarding rate for the night network from €4 to €8
The boarding rate for the night lines will be increased to €8. You will then pay a €8 deposit when checking in. You will get this amount back when checking out and you will pay for what you actually travelled. So make sure you have sufficient credit on your OV chip card or bank account.

Higher fines for fare evasion
The Rit Uitrij Kaart (Ride Exit Ticket) will be increased from €35 to €45. In that case, you will not receive a fine. If you opt for deferred payment, the amount to be paid is €50 (legally determined) + the fare (we assume a fixed fare of €10). The total fine will therefore be €60.
