Good news! The rates for 2024 remain largely the same as in 2023. However, there are a few changes. We have listed them for you below:
- Kids up to 11 years old travel for free with an adult
- Local bus also receives a balance rate
- Extra night network rate for long distances
- Keolis app stops
- Fewer debit cards on the bus
- 66+ free with tram and bus
Kids up to 11 years old travel for free
Children up to 11 years old travel for free with an adult! Per adult, 3 children aged 4 to 11 can travel for free. Children up to 3 years old always travel for free on public transport. This is valid on all our buses (including SyntusFlex and local bus) and U-OV buses and trams. It is just not valid on the night network. Accompanying children can simply board and do not need a ticket. Please note: if you reserve a ride with SyntusFlex, please indicate that your child(ren) will travel for free.
Please note: without an accompanying adult, children aged 4 to 11 do not travel for free and must purchase a separate ticket or check in and out with an OV chip card or debit card.
Local bus becomes balance
The fixed amount for the local bus will disappear. You will also pay on the local bus based on the distance travelled. The fare is the same as the normal bus, but on the local bus you never pay more than € 4.95 per journey. This means that it is cheaper for short journeys.
Extra night network rate for long distances
For very long distances with the night bus you will pay €9.95. For example, if you travel by night bus from Utrecht to Kamerik, Rhenen, Wageningen or Veenendaal. Or if you travel by night bus from Amsterdam to Woerden.
