OVpay is the new check-in and check-out in public transport. You hold your debit or credit card against the card reader and - bleep - you're checked in! Good news: this is now also possible with an age discount. All you have to do is activate your discount in the OVpay app.
What is age discount?
Children aged 4 to 11 and people over 65 are entitled to a 34% discount if they travel by bus, tram or metro (not by train). We call this age discount. You can now also check in and out with your debit or credit card with an age discount.
The advantages of checking in and out with your debit or credit card:
• You no longer have to top up your balance.
• It saves a card in your wallet.
• You do not have to buy a new OV chip card.
