Kids up to 11 years old travel for free in 2024

Throughout 2024, children up to and including 11 years old travel for free with an adult.

This applies to all Syntus Utrecht buses and U-OV buses and trams. That's right, you heard it right! So gather all your friends, get the family together and discover the beautiful places, the cozy cities and the hidden treasures that our province has to offer. This makes traveling by public transport even more fun and cheaper!

Please note: if no adult is traveling, children aged 4 to 11 do not travel for free and children must buy a separate ticket or check in and out with an OV chip card or debit card.

Conditions

Valid throughout 2024.
Children up to 11 years old travel for free on all Syntus Utrecht buses and U-OV buses and trams. Also valid on local buses and SyntusFlex. It is just not valid on our night buses.
Children (4 to 11 years old) travel for free if accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).
A maximum of 3 children aged 4 to 11 years may travel for free per adult. Children up to 3 years old always travel for free on public transport.
You can take the bus or tram as often as you want.
Children who travel for free do not need a ticket. Easy, right?
